A nice mini 'strat' style guitar with excellent playability and sound quality. Comes with limited 3 years warranty. Great choice for kids as well as for travel. Note: due to its very short scale this guitar may need to be tunned up for stable pitch and tuning.
This guitar has a very short scale which means that in order to be able to play it in standard guitar tuning you would need to either fret very gently or use heavier guage strings (such as 0.11 or heavier). Alternatively you can tune up the guitar a fourth (i.e. A D G B E A instead of the standard E A G D B E). For kids under 3 that would just 'strum' on the guitar an open G Chord tuning (G D G B D G) may be a good idea.

- My 3 year old son loves his little guitar. I've tuned it up after he's done banging on it, and it really does play. It's the real deal. For a little guitar, I was quite surprised that you can actually play a tune on it. Of course, it's not as sweet as playing a real full size electric, but it's more than adequate for a little learner. In fact, my first thought was that, after he grows out of it, I could stick this in a suitcase to use for practice if I'm ever in a hotel. - Very solid construction on this guitar. Definitely need the heavier strings for standard tuning, - easier to tune up to G or A with the strings it came with. Knobs and pickup select are as good as any floor model Strat I've played in stores. No buzz or hum. My six year old was completely stoked with this, loves it! Thanx...J |
